Future markets for material and technological innovations
Development of new materials has become an essential driving force for the technological and economic progress. About 70 percent of all innovations are based on new materials. The petrochemical age is about to end soon and we stand at the beginning of a radical change in our material and product culture. The consciousness for an environmentally compatible use and handling of materials, thinking in material flow, resource conserving constructions and regenerative energy technologies are in the focus of a decarbonized industry.
As a specialist in future developments we provide our customers with latest information about the most important material and technological developments by developing application scenarios for future markets and assuming a mediatory roll between technological innovation and marketable use of products. HAUTE INNOVATION was founded by Dr. Sascha Peters. With his expert knowledge he is belonging to one of the most renowned experts in terms of materials and technologies in Europe. Dr. Sascha Peters could gain extensive experience in the past twenty years in different capacities as scientist, innovation consultant, product development manager and designer which he can offer to his customers in the automobile, building and material industry.
Dr. Sascha Peters studied mechanical engineering with main focus on construction technology at the Technical University Aachen and product design at Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts. He did his doctor’s degree at Duisburg Essen University. Between 1997 and 2003 he was heading research projects and product development at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology in Aachen. From 2003 to 2008 he was a deputy manager at the Design Centre in Bremen which was an initiative for the promotion of economic development of the federal land of Bremen. Dr. Sascha Peters is the author of numerous professional publications which meanwhile belong to the standard books for tertiary education. He is a speaker and event moderator in demand worldwide and organizes innovation workshops on sustainable, resource conserving and smart materials. Since 2014 he is a member of the advisory board of the promotion initiative called "Twenty20 – Partnership for Innovation" created by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. In 2015 Dr. Peters was appointed a member of the jury of the Red Dot Award Product Design.
Diana Drewes is a cabinet maker by trade and has studied product design at the Weissensee School of Art in Berlin. Besides the management of all design projects of the agency she proves herself by her consolidated expert knowledge by making inquiries on market trends and giving lectures. Her thematic main focus is the close linking of technology and biology. She speaks of "biologized production and design processes" and understands the far-reaching success of future innovations at this interface. In her lectures she is presenting the latest material innovations on the basis of natural resources and explaining production processes by exploiting biological growth processes.
