3D-Druck supporting Ukraine
Verband 3DDruck · ZIRNGIBL · online-conference
29 January 2025, 9:00–11:00 a.m.
Russia’s war against Ukraine has had catastrophic consequences and requires extensive international support. The USA, the EU and Germany are already committed to helping the hard-hit country, and the first donor conferences have been held to initiate the reconstruction process.
Additive technologies for reconstruction and medicine
However, Ukraine still needs help in numerous areas. Additive manufacturing can play an important role here, as it can make valuable contributions in key sectors such as medical technology – for example by producing prostheses for war-disabled people – and in the construction industry for the reconstruction of destroyed cities.
The German association 3DDruck (Berlin), in cooperation with the law firms GOLAW (Kiev) and ZIRNGIBL Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaft, is organising an online conference that will focus on supporting Ukraine and show how additive manufacturing can provide important help in the above-mentioned areas.
The partners of GOLAW law firm will also present investment opportunities in Ukraine, possible support programmes and securities for investments in Ukraine.
The joint conference will focus on two aspects: medical technology (prostheses) and construction (reconstruction). Ukrainian and German experts from these three areas will each present the current situation and known needs as well as options already in use.
Maxim Zabudskyi (Deputy CEO, 3D UTU) will talk about the current challenges and requirements in the Ukrainian construction sector and explain how innovative 3D printing solutions are accelerating the reconstruction of housing and infrastructure. The work of 3D UTU demonstrates how modern technologies can provide efficient, sustainable and cost-effective methods to support reconstruction in Ukraine.
Prof Dr Sascha Peters (CEO, Haute Innovation Berlin) will show how 3D printing in construction makes it possible to erect buildings within a few days. In his presentation, he will introduce current technologies and show how 3D printing can offer sustainable and efficient solutions for reconstruction. He will then discuss the potential and challenges of these processes with the participants.
Viktor Artyushchenko (Head of 3D Printing Department, Infomir Group) will explain the current state of the market, the increasing demand for innovative medical solutions and the use of this technology for the production of prostheses, medical devices and other important aids for the reconstruction of the country.
Andreas Velten (3D Printing Association and CEO of IFA 3D) will present various additive manufacturing approaches for the fast and efficient medical care of injured people in Ukraine. He will show how mobile care units can be operated and staff trained to produce prostheses and medical aids in a time and cost-saving manner. His presentation will outline practical solutions for the medical care of soldiers and civilians injured by grenades, mines or fire.
