Material innovations for the biological cycle
MCBW · University of Television and Film Munich
9 March 2021

The sustainable use of our resources is the all-determining challenge for the next few years. We need a change in our linear economic system and our product culture towards a functioning circular economy. We expect the most far-reaching innovations in the biological cycle. Whether textiles made from cactus cellulose or pineapple fibers, battery systems based on lignin or foams made from algae oil or wooden fibers: If we manage to meet the material requirements of an increasingly digitized high-tech world with natural resources and bio-based technologies, sustainability and economic growth will promote each other.
At the invitation of bayern design, Hon.-Prof. Dr. Sascha Peters will present a wide range of material innovations for the biological cycle in a lecture on March 9, 2021 on the occasion of the start-up symposium of the MCBW in Munich.
