29 May 2026, 3–5 pm

Im Rahmen der Roadshow des Bundespreises Ecodesign widmet sich die Veranstaltung im Kunstgewerbemuseum anlässlich der Berlin Design Week den Potenzialen des zirkulären Gestaltens.

As part of the German Ecodesign Award Roadshow, the event at the Kunstgewerbemuseum explores the potential of circular design.

Paths to circular furniture design

The exhibition presents all current nominated and award‑winning projects and demonstrates how design can contribute to resource conservation, circular economy, digital transformation, and social innovation.

Following an expert introduction by Prof. Sascha Peters, contributions from practitioners offer concrete insights into sustainable material cycles and innovative design approaches—including the start-up Eudemia, which produces furniture from organic fiber scraps. This project demonstrates how high-quality furniture can be created from residual materials, opening up new perspectives for resource-efficient design.

Afterwards, a guided tour of the exhibition will take place. There, materials can be examined in detail and the presented approaches explored in greater depth.
