For the fourth time already HAUTE INNOVATION has been invited to Sweden on the occasion of subcontractor fair taking place in Jönköping from 8th to 11st November 2016 with the aim of implementing and presenting a trend show on material innovations that have been developed in the past few years. This fair organized by ELMIA is the leading fair in the field of technical supplies for the manufacturing industry in Northern Europe and Scandinavia. The fair is a trendsetter and contact point for decision makers, engineers and designers. After the great success of the innovation show in 2015, the special exhibition area will be enlarged thus offering new highlights in the field of new developments of smart materials, bio-based and sustainable material solutions, innovative lightweight construction and additive manufacture.

Highlights of the exhibition with 80 exhibits on 160 sqm were:
– wheelhouse of Strati: The world’s first 3D-printed electric vehicle (Local Motors, USA)
– NANI salmon leather bench (Joa Herrenknecht, Berlin)
– self-adjusting cable clamp with shape memory alloy SMA (Fraunhofer IWU, Dresden)
– bistable reeled composite (Rolatube, UK)
– multilayer basalt tube (CG-Tech, Germany; image)
– high performance plastics for additive manufacturing (Indmatec, Karlsruhe)
– car seat made from soy foam (Ford, USA)
– 3D-printed Nylon SLS textiles (digits2widgets, London)
– seats made from washed-up seagrass (Carolin Pertsch, Bremen)
