Aerofabríx

Ultra-light multilayer high Insulation Material

48/2010

The production of high-tech fabrics for use in architecture and in the automotive industry and design, is becoming increasingly more important. in addition to their typical function of coating, textile materials are enriched with special thermal or chemical qualities. An example is Aerofabríx, the high-performance fabric developed by the aerospace engineering agency, Aeroíx in Berlin. it is a membrane structure, while at the same time lightweight, insulating, resistant to wear, and is laminated with aluminium using a hypobaric process. it is ideal for building projects, air balloons and temporary architecture.
