ISM Ingredients is a new specialist platform for suppliers of raw materials, ingredients, and semi-finished products. As part of the popular Sustainability Talks, Diana Drewes from Haute Innovation will be speaking with the startups AllButSugar, Rebread, and That’s Kimchi about the societal megatrends of sustainability and health.

Sugar alternatives and fermented vegetables

AllButSugar is a Vienna-based FoodTech startup that has developed a modular system for sugar alternatives. Using modern technologies, sugar properties are sustainably replicated one-to-one, without the use of artificial sweeteners.

Rebread is a Polish startup that processes stale or surplus bread from large bakeries into functional drinks, ready-made baking mixes, and snacks. Approximately 15 percent of bread production never reaches the end consumer. This considerable amount is now being utilized.

THAT’s Kimchi from Hamburg offers healthy snacking on the go with its kimchi chips. Fermented vegetables are said to have beneficial properties for gut health due to the lactic acid bacteria they contain. According to scientific studies, regular consumption of kimchi may even help prevent cancer.
