From Material to a marketable Product
Launch conference of the series of events: Material shapes Product
24 June 2010 · 10:00–18:00
Location: HfG Offenbach
Organiser: Action line Hessen-Nanotech of the Hessian Ministry of Economics
Presentation and Program Development: Dr. Sascha Peters
Partners: VDID, Hessen Design, Trade Fair Frankfurt
Innovative materials is the big trend. This is shown by the numerous libraries, databases and trade fairs, like the Material Vision (24th to 26th May 2011), which have been successfully developed on this subject in recent years. When we used to develop materials with specific functionality to a problem before, we are now seeing materials and manufacturing processes in such a wide variety of technology available that almost everything seems possible. This has far-reaching consequences for our understanding of traditional technology driven innovation. What successful innovation processes often lacks today, is not the technological innovation in terms of functional quality, but the success and above all, fast transfer of innovation into a marketable product.
For this reason, the action line Hessen-Nanotech of the Hessian Ministry for Economics, Transport and Regional Development of Hessen Agentur offer these new series of events, which was developed in conjunction with materials expert Dr. Sascha Peters (Haute Innovation). The partners included in the series: Trade Fair Frankfurt, Hessen Design Association and the Association of German Industrial Designers (VDID).
