Ecodesign materials for the furniture industry

Regions with a strong furniture industry are currently increasing their sustainability activities. On the one hand, it is about the use of materials that can be returned to the cycle and have no negative impact on nature. In addition, circular business models based on products designed according to Ecodesign specifications are to be established.
Circular solutions for designers and producers
In particular, the northeast of Italy around Udine would like to develop into a model region for a sustainable furniture industry. To this end, the Legno Arredo Casa FVG cluster is opening an innovation platform for eco-design and sustainability in Manzano. In this context, the latest innovations in sustainable materials and eco-design for the furniture industry are prepared and presented to the cluster partners.
For the opening of the platform on July 5th and 6th, 2023 Hon.-Prof. Dr. Sascha Peters is invited, to present a selection of circular and particularly sustainable material technologies and to show the application reference to the furniture industry.
