Burning it causes air pollution in India and pollutes the environment in Delhi and surrounding cities. At Parali by Aarushi design studio, founder Aarushi Mittal transforms agricultural waste into sustainable textiles and home decor and is committed to ending the burning of straw stubble.<\/p>\n

Durable Fabrics and Clay Pots from Parali<\/h3>\n

The handwoven textiles are made from parali (rice straw) combined with textile elements such as recycled textile yarn, organic cotton, and natural fibers. Parali uses it for rugs and cushions, avoiding dyes or harsh chemicals. Because the materials are natural and biodegradable, their impact at the end of their lifespan is minimal.<\/p>\n

The fabric selection ranges from thick, durable weaves, ideal for rugs and meditation mats, to lightweight, flexible layers perfect for lampshades and cushions. Parali textiles are handcrafted using energy-saving, traditional techniques, are breathable, biodegradable, and designed for conscious, multifunctional living.<\/p>\n

The Boiya vase is hand-formed from rice straw, which is processed into a natural, dough-like texture and finished with clay \u2013 entirely without glue or plastic. Each piece reflects the idea of \u200b\u200bcircular thinking, rural craftsmanship, and the vision of climate-smart living.<\/p>\n
