Every building begins with choices\u2014of materials, methods, and values. If we want to build differently, we need to start differently \u2013 with the questions we ask, the materials we choose, and the values we embed in the process.<\/p>\n

Biomaterials as building materials of the future<\/h3>\n

We can\u2019t eliminate everything bad from our lives and start living a completely clean life, but we can certainly start by thinking of where we live and what impacts our environment has on our health. While removing all toxins may be difficult, taking small steps toward a cleaner, healthier future through education is achievable and already affordable.<\/p>\n

Bio-based materials offer more than incremental change. They shift how we think about projects, how we relate to space, land, and health. Thanks to Petra Marinko I am invited having a keynote at the “Materials Matter \u2013 Non-Tox Day<\/a>” talking about plastic-free biomaterials<\/a> for construction and interior design.<\/p>\n

The hybrid event takes place at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ljubljana and brings together experts, visionary companies, researchers and institutions to explore how bio-based, healthy and climate-resilient materials can transform the future of construction.<\/p>\n
